Lee Jong Suk Sends a Birthday Message and Flowers to Sewol Ferry Victim

Doing what he could do to provide comfort, Lee Jong Suk sent a birthday present to a Sewol ferry victim.

Danwon high school student, Kwon Ji Hye, who lost her life on the Sewol ferry on April 16, 2014, was sent a birthday message and flowers from Lee Jong Suk in time for her 19th birthday.
Kwon Ji Hye′s family shared to an acquaintance that Kwon Ji Hye was a fan of Lee Jong Suk. The acquaintance relayed the message to Lee Jong Suk′s company and asked for a signature to put in the vault where her ashes are kept.

Fulfilling the request and sending her a basket of yellow and white flowers, Lee Jong Suk wrote, “Dear Ji Hye, I sincerely wish you a happy 19th birthday. You, who′s as beautiful as flowers, I hope it′s always spring where you are.”

April 16 marks one year since the Sewol tragedy, which took the lives of hundreds of people, happened in 2014.
