Hairstyle key to Lee Jong-suk’s romantic charms

Korean actor Lee Jong-suk, who plays Choi Dal-po in SBS drama “Pinocchio,” is one of the best examples to show the striking importance of hairstyle for men.

In the drama’s early episodes, the actor wore a rustic and shaggy hairdo to act an unsophisticated teenager Dal-po who was brought up in the rural area. The hairstyle definitely helped to establish his innocent country boy character for the drama, yet made the heartthrob’s handsome figure unnoticeable.

However in the fourth episode, Lee, who became a TV reporter, shed his ugly hairdo and turned into an urban burnout in a romantic and natural hairstyle. His hairdo turned neat and sophisticated, dyed with the trendiest khaki-brown.

“To highlight the character’s intellectual and soft images in the drama, I put some variations to the classical middle part hairstyle, adding more natural taste to it,” Lee’s hair dresser explained about his changed hairdo.

“When blow-drying Lee’s hair, I crumple his hair with my hands to give a slight messy-looking texture and waves to the hair,” added the beauty stylist.

“But the waves can easily come loose and become undone, unless you have natural permed curls. So, don’t forget to put some hair styling products after you blow-dry your hair.”
