Lee Jong Suk “I Like Noirs, But The Genre I Am Good At Are Melodramas’


Due to the popularity of the drama ‘Pinocchio’, Lee Jong Suk had an interview with the Chinese media. As soon as the interview was released, it attracted a lot of attention from the public.
On the 6th, Chinese Sohu Entertainment revealed an interview with Lee Jong Suk. In the interview, Lee Jong Suk frankly spoke about the drama ‘Pinocchio’ as well as what he wanted to do in the future.
Lee Jong Suk talked about the reason for the drama’s success. He said, “Isn’t the drama interesting? I had a lot of fun while reading the scenario. The drama throws a message of today’s society and there is just the right amount of melodrama that women like. Moreover, the drama also was sweet and thrilling at the same time.” When asked which character in the drama was closer to his ideal type, Choi Inha portrayed by Park Shin Hye or Yoon Yoo Rae portrayed by Lee Yoo Bi, he answered, “I like both of the characters. I cannot choose between the two characters.”
He chose noir as the genre he wanted to challenge in the future. Lee Jong Suk confessed, “I like noirs, but the genre I am good at are melodramas.” and “What I want to do and what I can do is different, so I am a bit concerned.”
Finally, Lee Jong Suk said goodbye to his fans by saying, “I hope you have a Happy New Year and I will work harder than ever before from this moment forward, and I will greet everyone again in another good project.” He didn’t forget to promote his fan meeting in Guangzhou on the 7th.
Meanwhile, after the end of the SBS Wed-Thurs Drama Special ‘Pinocchio’, Lee Jong Suk is filming photoshoots, advertisements, and attending fan-meetings as well as taking care of his schedules overseas.
